Ingredients:
- 2 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 lemon (half sliced, half juiced)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried dill (or 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: Steamed vegetables (broccoli, asparagus, or green beans) for serving
Instructions:
-
Preheat the Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
-
Prepare the Salmon:
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Place them on a plate and drizzle with olive oil, ensuring both sides are lightly coated.
-
Season the Salmon:
- Sprinkle minced garlic, dried dill, salt, and pepper evenly over the salmon fillets. Gently rub the seasonings into the fillets.
-
Lemon Infusion:
- Squeeze half of the lemon over the salmon fillets, ensuring a zesty flavour. Place lemon slices on top of each fillet for an extra burst of citrus during cooking.
-
Air Fry the Salmon:
- Carefully place the seasoned salmon fillets into the air fryer basket. Cook for approximately 10-12 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets. The salmon should be opaque and easily flaked with a fork.
-
Serve with Steamed Vegetables:
- While the salmon is cooking, steam your favourite vegetables to accompany the dish. Broccoli, asparagus, or green beans work well.
-
Plate and Enjoy:
- Once the salmon is done, transfer it to serving plates along with the steamed vegetables. Squeeze the remaining lemon juice over the top for a fresh finish.
-
Garnish with Fresh Dill (Optional):
- If you have fresh dill on hand, sprinkle some over the salmon just before serving for a pop of colour and added flavour.
