Are you wanting the perfect homemade banana bread? The Morphy Richards fastbake breadmaker is the best bread machine as you can whip up a bakery quality loaf with minimal effort. This bread maker recipe has a rich flavour, even with the simplest banana bread ingredients. Every bite is sweet and packed with homemade goodness!

Ingredients:

  • 150g butter

  • 150g caster sugar

  • 3 medium eggs, beaten

  • 150g self raising flour

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • 2 very ripe bananas bashed

  • 50g icing sugar

Method:

Step 1: You will need 2 bowls for this recipe, one for the wet ingredients, and another for the dry ingredients. Firstly, grab bowl 1 whisk together your butter and eggs until it is a smooth consistency.

Step 2: Then grab bowl 2, sieve and mix together your self raising flour, baking powder, and caster sugar. Make sure it is all perfectly smooth. Once everything is perfectly mixed, fold in the buttery, eggy mixture from Bowl 1, stirring until it is all smooth.

Step 3: Pour the entire mixture into the baking pan. Select the menu bar on the breadmaker, select option 10 for the cake setting, and let it bake for 70 minutes.

Step 4: Once the banana bread has finished baking, let it rest in the tin for 10 minutes. Then, carefully transfer it to a wire rack, allowing it to cool completely.

Step 5: Mix the icing sugar with 2 to 3 tablespoons of water to make a runny icing. Drizzle the icing over the top of the cake, and enjoy a slice of homemade goodness!
