Espresso Martini

Ingredients
For The Sugar Syrup
- 100g golden caster sugar
For The Cocktail
- 100ml vodka
- 50ml freshly brewed espresso coffee
- 50ml coffee liqueur
- 4 coffee beans (optional)
- Ice
Method
Step 1: To begin, put the caster sugar into a small pan over a medium heat and pour in 50 ml water to make the sugar syrup. Stir and bring to the boil.
Step 2: Next, turn off the heat and allow the mixture to cool down. Before moving on to the next step, place 2 martini glasses into the fridge to chill.
Step 3: Once the sugar syrup is cool, pour 1 tbsp into a cocktail shaker along with the vodka, espresso and coffee liqueur and a handful of ice. Shake vigorously until the outside of the cocktail shaker feels ice cold.
Step 4: Strain into the chilled glasses and garnish each serving with a couple of coffee beans.
