Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Cooking Time: 4 minutes
Serves:

Ingredients:

  • 200g dark chocolate melted

  • 6 tsp hot chocolate powder

  • 50g mini marshmallows

  • gold lustre to decorate

  • milk, to serve

Method:

Step 1: Arrange 12 silicone semi-sphere moulds (7cm in diameter) flat on a baking tray. Use a pastry brush to coat the inside of each mould with chocolate, ensuring full coverage without worrying about perfection.

Step 2: Turn the moulds upside down to shake out any excess chocolate onto baking parchment, then scrape the tops clean with a palette knife. Return the moulds to the baking tray and refrigerate for 10 minutes to set. If the remaining chocolate has hardened, briefly microwave it to remelt.

Step 3: Brush a second layer of chocolate into the moulds for even coverage. Place them back on the baking tray and refrigerate for 1 hour or overnight to set. Once set, gently peel back one side to remove the chocolate shells and prepare to assemble with hot chocolate and marshmallows.

Step 4: Heat a frying pan on high for 1 minute, then remove from the hob. Press the edge of a chocolate sphere onto the pan for a second to slightly melt. Fill it with 1 tsp of hot chocolate powder and 1 tbsp of marshmallows. Briefly melt the edge of another sphere and press them together to seal. Repeat to make six hot chocolate bombs.

Step 5: Decorate by dusting with edible gold lustre.

Step 6: Pour the milk into the milk frother and select the "Warm Milk Only" setting to heat it perfectly for your hot chocolate.

Step 7: Drop your bombs into your frothed milk and enjoy!
